About The Speakers

Former U.S. Chief Data Scientist

Mr. Patil was the 1st Chief Data Scientist appointed by Obama Administration and he was primarily responsible for unleashing the power of data for the benefit of the public and maximize returns on the nation's investments in data. With a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland and undergrad in Mathematics from the University of California, he has also held various senior positions at LinkedIn, eBay and RelateIQ.


Ex-Chairman of UIDAI

Mr. Nilekani is a well-known entrepreneur, bureaucrat and politician. He was the Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Prior to joining UIDAI, he held the position of co-founder at Infosys. Since UIDAI, he has been on the board of governors of various prestigious and research based government committees.
